As promised here is my recap of our perfect weekend in Atlanta.

So Jessica and I left her house about 11AM for our 3 ½ hour drive to Atlanta. We had a blast totally geekin out and quoting every KITH sketch that came to mind. We were both so happy that we got to go because our trip was almost canceled at the last moment.

Two weeks before the concert I found out that my little sister’s high school graduation was the same day as the show and to make it worse my sister was going to be giving a speech. Me being the loving older sister that I am, and knowing that my parents where going to record the whole thing anyway, I decided to skip my sister’s graduation.

Then one week before the show Jessica’s grandmother passed away. At the last moment Jessica’s parents decided that they really wanted Jessica to have a break and go to the show so they moved the memorial service to the following Saturday.

Back to the story….

The trip was really smooth and really the hotel was easy to find and it was so beautiful!

We checked in and hung out in our room for a little bit and made our game plan for the evening. We decided we were going to dress up and just go all out for the night.

After we both got all ready then we decided to go downstairs and see if the Cobb Energy Center(CEC) was really in walking distance like mapquest said it was. Then the woman at the front desk told us that since the CEC was within 3 miles of the hotel then the hotel driver would take us and drop us off at the door and pick us up for free! SCORE!

After we had the best meal that either of us ever had we called our driver and left for the show. We got in there and found our seats and saw someone with the merch so we decided that it was time to go buy our stuff. I got one shirt that says "Girl Drink Drunk" one that says "30 Helans agree" and a program. Jess just got the 2 shirts.

While we were waiting for the show to start we both looked through the program and read all of the bios that were in there and had a nice little conversation to the two women sitting next to us.

Jessica and I kept and eye on the sound booth so that we would know when the show was about to start. Once we saw a guy go settle in the booth we got really pumped.

Then the lights dim and a video for “Rape Kevin” starts to play. We all scram our fool heads off and go a little batshit crazy! Then the video finishes and they come running out on stage and Jessica and I freak out a little bit.

Then this usher came over and told us that we are not allowed to take pictures and that the guys would be out in the lobby after the show and that we could take pictures with them then. This made both our heads explode a little bit.

We watched the rest of the show and it was fucking amazing! I was glad to see some of the old sketches as well as some of the new ones. Dave and Kevin had a little inside joke going on during the “Imaginary Girlfriend” skit, something about a jacket, I don’t know but they were cracking each other up!

I did manage to get a few more pictures during the Headcrusher skit

Then the show was over.

Jessica and I then RAN out to the lobby, I mean we were bumping into people and searching like mad for the meet and greet area. Then a guy who worked there asked if we were searching for the meet and greet and we said yes so he pointed us in the right direction and we RAN down the whole length of the lobby and we were FIRST IN LINE!!

We stood there for about 25-30 min before the guys came in and Jessica freaked out a little bit and Dave gave her a strange.
